Gum disease is related to stomach cancer pain

Gum disease does not only cause pain and discomfort but also significantly reduce your life quality. In addition, researchers have discovered a special bacteria which cause gum disease and also be the reason of stomach cancer pain.

The study result showed that Porphy bacteria causes gum disease is presenting in 60% of stomach cancer and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients.

This discovery provides the first evidence for showing that gum disease caused by Porphy bacteria could be a new risk factor for Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and stomach cancer pain.

If this discovery is proved, it will help us to eliminate the popular gum disease risk and reduce significantly the number of Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and stomach cancer patients.

Scientists tested tissues samples from 100 patients who have Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and 30 of them are normal. The result showed enzyme specificity for its bacterial and DNA were significantly higher in cancer tissue of the patients in comparison with surrounding tissues or normal symmetric positions.

Scientists also found the appearance of Porphy bacteria is related to other factors, including differentiation of cancer cells, metastasis, and overall survival rates. There is 2 possible explanation: the ESCC cancer cells make advantage conditions for Porphy bacteria or infection of this bacteria causes the condition to live and it leads to the development of stomach cancer pain. If the first possibility is correct, the simple antibiotics can be useful and researchers can develop other treatments for stomach cancer using Gene Technology to basically destroy cancer cells and Porphy bacteria. This also showed that improving oral hygiene can reduce the risk of stomach cancer pain, prevent Porphy bacteria in dental plaques, detect possible risk and use antibiotic for strategies against other bacteria can prevent progression Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.

Stomach cancer is a common disease.
